What’s up, everyone! Lance Hedrick here.
I have been working in coffee almost a decade. In that time, I’ve worked as a barista, kitchen hand, roaster, bagger, trainer, manager, wholesaler, consultant, and more. I’ve competed and won multiple coffee competitions and have coached multiple to great success.
In uni and grad school, I studied a plethora of subjects with the intent of eventually becoming a professor of philosophy. Of course, priorities and passions change over time, and I ended up embracing coffee full-time.
I now work at Onyx Coffee Lab as a wholesale representative, but spend most of my time tinkering with equipment, reading all the coffee literature I can get my hands on, and brewing a heinous amount of coffee.
